Welcome

The Fayetteville Area Shag Association is a social dance club. We are dedicated to enjoying the music & lifestyle that is associated with the Carolina Shag. The purpose of this club is to:

  • perpetuate and preserve the dance
  • promote beach music and the atmosphere surrounding the dance
  • create and maintain an environment conducive to the dance

FASA meets, dances, and teaches shag lessons at The Elk's Lodge on Gables Drive off of Country Club Drive . The Elk's Lodge is a great location. They have a nice dance floor, a large bar area with plenty of room for our normal buffet table, and it is smoke free. They also have plenty of parking. Click here for a map to the lodge or click here for a Google Map and come party with us!

Our club's decisions and government are directed by Robert's Rules of Order & our bylaws. Click here to review our bylaws.

To add an item to the agenda for our monthly business meeting you will need to turn the item in to the club officers prior to the meeting. Click here to download & print the form for submission of agenda items.

You must apply for membership to FASA. Click here to print out a copy of the club application form. Bring it with you to any of our regular meetings.

You will need Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer to view and print the items linked to above. To download a free version of this software click here to visit the Adobe website and follow the instructions on their website to install the software.
